Gadgets at the grocery store to make your shopping trip quicker

Grocery stores have always been quite forward thinking when it comes to using technology that will improve customer service and experience. Giant Food Stores recently introduced a system where customers could use a handheld device that could scan their grocery items and bag them in the carts itself. According to Craig Warden, a Giant rep., customers need only to scan a bar code to bring their order up, pay and leave. It's as simple as that. Some of their stores also have Shopping Solution kiosks where customers can get maps of the store to help them find hard to locate items.
