Buying new furniture

Moving house is fun, but I'm quite dreading what I'm going to do with all the furniture I have and cannot and do not want to take with us. I am rather attached to some of the older pieces, such as a lovely bookshelf with really clean and simple lives which I've had since I was a child and a set of Scandinavian sofa's and matching coffee and side tables. What I'll probably have to do is to get a completely new set of home furniture once we find a place and start afresh. While that is a fun idea, I think an ideal house is a combination of old and new pieces, a look that gives it character as well as some newness.
