Haier to produce locally

Business Standard reports that the Haier Group’s Indian subsidiary, Haier Appliances India Pvt. Ltd is planning to produce its products in India to gain a larger share of the domestic consumer electronics market which is estimated to be worth Rs. 18,000 crore. The company out sources its production currently, plans to maintain its relationship with its manufacturing partners while getting into manufacturing itself.
