Architects from India in demand

The Economic Times reports that one of the upcoming fields in India is that of architecture. Rising costs, declining interest in the subject has led to a shortage of architects in the US, Middle East and Europe. Indian architects are filling in the gaps, as they have good technical knowledge and know the English language.
“There is a lot of work coming from the US clients based in China. For instance, today the buildings are conceptualised in the US, designed in India and built in China,” says Michael Jansen, CEO, Ananta Satellier, a Noida-based company executing architecture design and drafting assignments for the past 15 years.
