Wedding stuff

Weddings are getting more complicated these days. I feel that the simplicity of the wedding and meaning to the two participants is getting lost in the clutter of everything else that is taking precedence these days. Indian weddings are known for their over-the-top ostentatious functions, clothes, jewelry, music, food and pretty much everything else. This happens in part due to weddings being more of a connection between families rather than just the two individuals involved. Also, since almost all weddings in India are paid for by the parents of the bride and groom, they get to invite all their friends, acquaintances and business associates too. The wedding industry here is huge and becoming larger with each passing year and all wedding stuff related products and services do fantastically well, be it clothes, food, gifts, musicians, invitation printers, florists etc.
