are you musically inclined

I'm on a roll about music and guitars, aren't I! Maybe it's because I can see just how much my little girl responds to it and how much she enjoys listening to and dancing with the music. Rhythm is something you're born with and if you have it, then it shouldn't be wasted. And as a mother, you want to encourage your kids to try everything, to be their best at whatever they are interested in. And I really think that my little girl is going to be interested in music. So, I've been thinking that it's time that I do a little work myself, learn an instrument or two maybe, taking some singing lessons maybe...oh boy, that would be really embarrassing to do. But really, what appeals the most to me is to learn how to play the guitar, maybe something as beautiful as Schecter Guitars, which are a work of art in themselves. Maybe, then I can inspire her to follow her heart...into music or whatever it is that will drive her.

noticing the little things

The best part of photography for me, is that I get to notice the little things which I otherwise might not have seen. It's funny, how one just starts to notice the light, the angles, the perspectives that will make a good photo, the ones that will create your look, that it becomes part of you. I don't even think of it now, it's just ingrained. A handy comparison would be like changing gears in a car without even noticing, one just does it, as one talks, steers and so, not even giving it a second thought!

don't you want to learn to play the guitar!

Haven't you wanted to learn to play the guitar? At some point or the other, we all want to learn to play this most versatile of instruments, don't we! I certainly do, but I wonder when it will happen. I'm really not that musically inclined, especially when it comes to instruments, or well, singing too, but I do love to hum along with the music. But what appeals to me about learning to play the guitar is the whole atmosphere about it. I can imagine sitting by a bonfire, out on a camping trip, and spending a relaxing evening playing some hofner electric bass something awesome like Club Bass 500/2, one of the most classic of bass guitars. Created by Walter Hofner in 1956, as a semi-acoustic bass guitar, it has a warm and woody amplified tone that is the sweetest of sounds a guitar can make. It's not an easy feat to accomplish, to be a classic and be easy to play too, which is why it's such a best seller, always in demand.

remembering the old hiking days

I've always loved to go for a good hike. Growing up in and close to the mountains made it easy for us. It was where we went for picnics, for holidays, and for hikes and treks. It's a part of my life that I really do miss a lot since we now live in the desert. Now, the kind of treks one does, doesn't require any of the high funda zamberlan boots that were such a rage amongst my friends. They raved about them, saying that's what saved the trek for them, when they got lost on the trail and it started snowing. That's exactly whey one must buy the best kind of equipment, so that when you put it to the test, it comes up right on top, even better than you thought it would do! So, here's to my old hiking days!
